Patricia Logan, whether writing her M/M erotic novels with or without a BDSM element is a superb writer. This book has no BDSM in it, but what it does have is a fabulous story of love, sex and danger. Charles Fordham III, has been kicked out of Oxford and returning to Los Angeles with a reputation of being a brat. His father, a millionaire owner of numerous businesses had sent Chad to England when he was only 10 years old to be educated there as was a custom in his family. There he did in fact become a brat since he did not want to be there but now has no choice but to return home and learn the family business from his father whom he detests. His father decides to hire a bodyguard for Chad, fearing that he could be kidnapped since the family has so much money. The bodyguard is Tate Henton, who had to leave the Marines with his rank of Sargent Major when he was badly wounded while deployed to the middle east. He is reluctant to take the job of guarding a brat but once he meets him and is with him as he learns the family business, he realizes that Chad is no longer a brat but a highly intelligent, kind and talented young man. The two of them fall in love and have some heavy duty sex. Patricia is extremely talented in drawing up the sexual situations, making them explicit and hot. Unfortunately, Chad is better at learning than anticipated by two lowlifes who fear he will discover what they have been up to and start to plan his demise. The danger raised by this situation thrums through this book and does not end until a bloody battle resolves the matter. This book is so good that you will find it almost impossible to put down once you have started to read it. I highly recommend that you buy and enjoy this extraordinary novel as soon as possible.Product details

Awesome story, lots of action and good story line! Highly recommend this author. You will love the characters and the sex is hot!
I wanted to like it, but I couldn't get past the third chapter - the story was just bland
Interesting story that, although came to a lovely ending, it left me curious as to other characters in the story. I'll have to look around and see if there are more. I enjoyed this read.
Every book in this series gets better and better! The action and romance are a perfect blend! Ms. Logan I an excellent storyteller!
This has been one of the best and intense sexual series I've read in a long time. I absolutely recommend to everyone who loves a bit of sex with their drama!
I found the main character unlikeable. Which in turn, made it difficult to root for him. Too spoiled & self-centered. Again, difficult to root for. The Bodyguard deserved better. That being said, I do enjoy this author’s books & consider this to be a one/off. I have continued to buy her titles.
The Brat – Marine Bodyguard Book 3
This is not a particularly well done book. It’s a gay sex story, something that was omitted in the summary. It’s also rife with errors, with some characters never identified - only mentioned by first or last names, others unidentified initially to be formally ID’d 120 pages later.
The first 1st hundred pages or so were technically fine – but there were scattered minor errors thereafter – misspellings, sentence fragments & name substitutions. It’s interesting that an editor gets equal credit billing for the book – although it’s primarily a proofreader’s job to detect & correct such obvious errors. An SUV introduced as a Mercedes, was later described as a Jeep, for example.
Graphic male on male sex was prominent (no detail was spared.) Five of the major characters were gay & all had sex partners who were among them.
The book summary omits the fact that it is a male sex oriented story. It only says that it’s about a rich spoiled brat who gets a bodyguard. There is a small, relatively good and sometimes tense & exciting, spy & love story told, however.
